Question
I'm not sure where to go with this question, may be out of your line but here goes anyway.........
I have a collection of rocks from various places we have visited.  I only want to display them in my yard but I would like for them to have the wet look that makes the colors show up so well.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

Answer
Hi, and thanks for your question. The easy answer is a clear lacquer or varnish. This will give the rock a sheen and 'wet look'. However, depending on your local climate there may be some choice as to which varnish/lacquer you use. Basically, the worse the weather is where you live, the more heavy duty the covering will need to be. The tougher coverings are normally oil or solvent based, so this is a consideration as well. I'd recommend speaking to a hardware store in your area as they will be able to advise a good product. I hope this has been of some help, if you have any further questions please dont hesitate to ask.
