Question
Hello

Do sugar gliders make good pets?

Would it be happy if I only had one?

How far part would the cage bars have to be?

How long do they live?

Answer
It depends on what you think of as a good pet. They take a lot of work but are very affectionate and become very attached to one person.
They are happier in pairs but one should be okay by itself if you carry the one around with you in a pouch and give it lots of attention, at least 3 hours a day. All day is even better.
I'd say that a cage with 1/2 inch wire should work.
They live about 12-14 years.
