Question
Hello

Do sugar gliders make good pets?

Answer
Hello,
It depends on how you define a "good" pet. Sugar gliders are very high maintenance and require a lot of attention. It can take some time to get one to warm up to you and they will "crab" at you until they do so.
On the other hand, once they do warm up to you, they stick with you. They are perfect pocket pets and will snuggle up in a pocket while you go about to work, school, or wherever.
Be sure however that you know a good exotic animal specialist. You do not want to take an exotic such as a sugar glider to a regular dog and cat vet.
