Question
i have a chinchilla and i keep him downstaries because i herd they like it cool. but now its winter and we have a wood burning stove downstaires. so i moved him in to my room (thats downstaires but is very cool) and up untill yesterday i found him lying down with his eares back and his eyes half closed. when i take him out hes usilly very squrlly but today he layed down in my arms with his eares back and his eyes half closed. is he sick? hes very young mabey a year. thxs

Hmmm... he could be nervous about why he was moved and a little scared. It is good that you keep him in cool spots since they do love cool spots. I would certainly take him to a vet to get looked at. Also have you tried seeing if he's just not happy or nervous with his spot that he's in now? He could be a little nervous about I am sorry I can't offer more information about what would be wrong, but I would really take your chinchilla to a vet. It would be a good idea to do it now anyway since it's generally recommended that you take them to a vet for a check up once a year anyway.
