Question
hi its me again, is it bad for flying squirrels to feed them bananas? ok i will try ur advice. ive tried to blend friuts for them but still they wont touch it

Answer
It's not bad to feed flying squirrels bananas, but it's bad to feed them ONLY bananas. They NEED to eat more than that. In the wild, they'd be eating whatever they could find.  That's what they need in a captive home as well.  I think my last idea for you would be to try hand feeding with a syringe. Blend everything together, suck it up in a syringe...make a "squirrel burrito" by wrapping him up in a towel and syringe feed him.  Do this three or four times a day. I also advise you to buy a small scale that measures in grams to keep an eye on his weight.  As another resort, you can consult a local veterinarian as to what to do. He or she might have an idea. You'll just have to find a vet that examines and knows about exotic animals.

Best of luck to you and your little squirrel!
