Question
Hi Just got my 1st hairless. Can I #1 keep2  male together? #2 keep with a same sex haired ?. Any other advice bar keeping nice & warm.  Thank you in anticipation Jules

Answer
Hello Jules,

I have never kept Hairless rats. But, yes you should be able to keep 2 males together with no problems. Keeping a Haired rat with a hairless should be fine, just make sure there nails are kept short as hairless's have thin skin that will tear easly from scratches.

To keep your hairless warm, keep the cage away from drafts, you could house him in a glass tank in the winter, but in summer these tanks can become over heated. Fleece lined hammocks, tunnles and quilted nesting boxes will help keep him warm.

Hope eveything goes ok with your hairless.

Bye
Jess
