Question hi i have a hamster named emrald i have had he for a year and i think she has wet tail. she sleeps in a shape of a ball and doesnt eat or drink. her tail is al dirty and and looks wet. this morning i thought she was dead but she still breathes. she moves but only small distances is there any thing i can do to prevent her from dying cause she means the world to me and i will be very sad if i lose her. thankyou
Answer You can take her to a vet. As you already know wet tail is usually fatal, it sounds like she is really suffering She is probably starving to death and it may be kinder getting her euthanised if there is nothing the vet can do. Please dont use the internet as a substitute for veterinary care, its not the same. You sound like you love her very much so a vet is her best option. Good luck
