Answer I cannot help with medical questions. I suggest you vivist a vet who is familar with hedgehogs. Do not see a vet who does not treat many hedgehogs. Two things that come to mind are that the hedgehog is overweight and you are seeing the fat, or your hedgehog may have Fatty Liver Disease which hedgehogs are very prone to getting, and it is a very serious thing.
