Question
please help me. i took my new mother mouse's lid off of her cage today because i thought something was wrong. is there any chance that she will ignor the babies becasue i took off the lid? please let me know asap im incredibly nervous.

Answer
It's very unlikely that she would abandon her babies unless you disturbed her a lot or frightened her. A frightened mouse could kill and rat her babies esp if they are very young. Since you only took the lid off her cage then hopefully she will be ok and will continue to look after her little ones.
