About Becky Twogood
Expertise
I can answer questions about fancy rats, i.e what type they are (hooded, rex, capped), breeding, what they eat, toys, cages, propper bedding, and general care. I can help to identify common rat ailments, however, as I am not a vetranarian, I can not answer indepth medical questions. I will answer all questions to the best of my abilities.

Experience
I have been breeding fancy rats for the past 5 years, and raising them for 12 years. I have about 30 rats, give or take a few, some for breeding, but mostly Rescues. I say give or take a few because I do alot of rescueing, and I have several rats in and out, quite often, BUT I know them all by name :0)

Question
i live in cal. and i am going to move in to an apartment and need to get rid of my baby rats  :( do you know any rescue places i can take them to?

Answer
Hello,
I am sorry that you have to rehome your rats. Are you sure the Apt. people won't let you bring them? I have lived in several Apt. Complexes, and have had no problems with mine, didn't even have to pay a pet deposit. One place though, I told them they were giant gerbils! :0)

I am in Texas, so I am not aware of the rescue organizations in Cali. Try looking at the RMCA and AFRMCA web sites, they sometimes list private rescuers.

I wish I could have been of more help to you. Good luck on your move and rehoming of your fur kids.

Becky
