Question I have been bottle feeding a baby mouse that my cat was batting around in the yard. Luckily, she did not bite him or hurt him. When I got him, his eyes were not opened yet, but they opened last Monday, Sept.27th. Since then, I have offered him apple and gerbil food. He takes small bites of the apple, but not the gerbil food. He still takes some bottle(Esilbac.) What else should I offer him to eat and is it okay if I buy him a playmate at the pet store? He is a cute little imp and I've growned to love him. What do I need to know about taking care of him?
Answer I am sure I answered this question!
Anyway, I wouldnt get him a playmate yet as mice from petshops are usually 6 - 8 weeks old and they would eat him. I have observed this in several mice but they have eaten another mouses' babies!!! Horrible! Also he may carry diseases which can spread. i would carry on with the milk but just keep hamster food with him
