About Alice
Expertise I can answer questions regarding barrel racing, pole bending, gymkhana, and also breaking in horses and any "problem" issues. I also know a lot of horse behaviour and horsemanship and reining. I also know a lot about riding skills, do's and don'ts, and overall riding position. Also, I know a lot about bucking and rearing problems and much more!
Experience I do quite a bit of barrel racing, overall. I also do my share of pole bending, and i have trained reining horses. I also do western pleasure classes and gymkhanas and I have also trained other people's horses. I also know a bit about English training, especially show jumping, since I have done a bit of that myself.
But, including all this, I have only been around horses for not even four years, but I have done so many things already, including training, so don't let the few years bother you. I've been known to help many expierenced people.
Organizations I belong in the MBRA (Manitoba Barrel Racing Association)
Education/Credentials Been around horses for around 4 years, but would like to help more people and begin to explain about different things for different people.
Awards and Honors I have received trophies for my barrel racing and once received a trophy and I was the youngest and least expierenced rider there. I have placed a lot in gymkhana's and pole bending and also in western and english classes.

Question hi i have a 3 year old breeding stock paint and i want to know how to get her to neck rein ang she doesnt have very much go so how do i get her to want go because i am going to do berrels and poles. Oh and also she trips alot i think it is because she drags her feet if you know can you tell me how i can get her to pick up her feet?
Answer hhmmm...she sounds an awful like my paint 4yr old colt. exact same problems. lol. well, to neck rein, just nudge her over with ur outside foot and ur outside rein puts pressure on her neck. the moment her leg moves in that direction, release and pet her. and keep practicing that, and she should get the hang of it. normally, u practice one side in the beginning, and eventually do the other side. always practice neck rein every ride if u can!
ok. for the laziness thing. u need to regain her respect and obedience for you. put her on the lounge line and walk and trot her. make sure they are at a very nice fast pace. if she wants to slow down...speed her up faster than b4. keep her moving!! she can not be lazy. go both directions. and for on her back...nudge her forward with a little pressure and if she doesn't go, give her a smart tap with a crop. make sure she goes forward. the tripping thing is because she is lazy and not focusing on her feet. keep her moving energectically and constantly reward her and she shouldn't be tripping for long. I hope this helps and if u have any more questions...let me know! :D
