Question Hi, I'm kinda new to this, my husband and I are wanting to get our 8 yeard old daughter into barrel racing. And we know nothing about it at all, we have friends who know or they think but we want to know how much it will all entail, money, time, the horse, all the equipment and all that good stuff. Please help, we're really interested
Answer Hi to answer your question time and money will be the biggest investment in the whole thing. As far as equiptment you really just need a good horse and good saddle. I'm not a barrel racer so I can't tell you that much sorry. Your best bet would be to go to a rodeo in your area and talk to the barrel racers there they are always willing to help kids get into the sport. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
