Subject: How do I get my children started

Question
I have a almost 4year old who is very very interested in rodeos.  I would love to get him started riding as soon as possible but I don't know anything about horses at all we would like to buy one or two and start training but don't really have a clue.  Any suggestions or thought of people who know nothing of it starting to get into it??  Thank You!!

Answer
Hi Christy, I would suggest looking at horse adds online. Find yourself an older horse between 13-16 years old. that has had lots of kids that have rode it. have the owners ride it first and then you get on it. If your scared of it then your children will be to. After you find the horse you want ask around your local feed stores about instructors in your area. then when you feel comfortable take it to the next level. Also if he wants to start roping there are great videos and roping dummies on the web. Just search team roping supplies and you'll find everything you need to get started. If I didn't really answer write again and i'll be glad to help.
