What are the normal age groups for barrel racing?
Answer Well if you wanted to neck rein your horse. Heres how you do it.
1.) First, mount up on your horse, and ride him like you normally would. If you are always riding tight reins, loosen them so that there is some slack.
2. Walk in a straight line, then turn your horse sharply, make sure you turn him as you usually would. Also, while you are turning him, make sure that the outside rein is also on his neck, and be sure he can feel it.
3. When your done the turn, make sure that you return to your normal position so that your horse doesn't get confused. Make many turns, and never take the same path over and over again, as your horse may start following the pattern, not the reins.
4. Keep the training sessions short, and do this for about several days. Depending how long your horse takes to get it.
5. After a few sessions, try giving the neck reining cue first, before pulling on the inside bit. If he starts turning, reward him right away. If he starts to wander off, just pull on the inside rein so that he gets reminded where to go.
6. Then, when he starts to get it, you will no longer need to pull on the inside rein. Be patient with your horse, and don't forget to still use your legs and seat to guide him as well.
2.)Gymkhana is just like a rodeo, its just like a fun night there to enjoy yourselves, and there are different events to enter in then rodeo
3.)Well I don't know all of the events, because it depends on the rodeo, but there is polebending, barrel racing, scurby race, calf roping, cutting, and those are just the few.
4.) All the common events held in a rodeo are up above, question 3, but I guarantee that there will be barrel racing and polebending.

i2 1i
5.) The barrels set up for barrel racing are like a clove leaf pattern, there are three barrel set up. Ex) Look at the three i's at the top of the question.
6.)You go around number one then two then three. You have to make sure you do a complete circle around the barrel.
7.) Polebending is when you weave in and among poles, you can go to google and put polebending and click images.
8.)No there is no jumping events in rodeo.
9.)Western horses do not have nose bands.
10.) Well it depends on the rodeo, or the gymkhana. The place where I compete, is 9 and under, 10 to 13, then 13 to 16, then 16 and up. for the polebending and barrel racing.
