I have been looking for almost a year for the European version of "England's Newest Hit Makers"-the on with "Route 66" as the first song.  Some have been advertised with this as the first song and when I received them, it was the American version.  Do you know where I can get this CD with "Route 66" as the first song.  I look forward breathlessly for your reply.  Thanks...

Dear Marianne:

Please forgive me for the lateness of my answer.  I have had some problems with my family involving medical reasons, so I hope you understand.

Involving the European version of their first album, that is a hard CD to get here stateside.  Their are the main record companies such as Odeon in Germany and Musikladen in Scandanacia that have had that to sell, but the cost of getting it stateside is astronomical.  You may want to try the internet or with Ebay to see about getting it.

The reason about it not being here stateside is one name: Allen Klein, the one who has control of the group recordings from 1963-1969.  He and his family still has control of the AMerican versions of their albums and you know that they won't have a European version out if their were not to get most of the money.
