Can you please help me with this question. My mother was from Romania but went to another country a long time ago. she never saved her nationality and didnt give to us, her children. And know me and my brother want the romanian nationality.

Her personal information is
Name: Gitta IWANIER (IVANIER)
Father's name: Aron IWANIER (IVANIER) born 1894
Mother's name: Priwe IWANIER (IVANIER) born IWANIER 1898
Romania passport number # ?
Date of Birth: 01-06-1934
City: Breaza Moldovani

Do you know where I can get a birth certificate of this person. I really want to get the nationality but to get it we need the birth certificate.

Also, I need to know the procedure and costs.

ANSWER: Dear Sir/Madam Pnina,

the most important think is to give a power of attorney to a romanian citizen . I use to get certificates for my customers here in Romania with the help of some romanian friends .
So I need a power of attorney to be able to get this  certificate from the major of the town where your mother was born ( sometimes birth certificates that are before 1900 are in the national archive of Bucharest or in the state archive of the main city of the region where the person was born but in your case we can just check in the town of Breaza Moldovani ) I think that the name of the town is not correct , pleae check it and tell me .

QUESTION: following your answer, can my mother ask directly the archive of Breaza Moldovani (no power of attorney to a romanian citizen, since she is asking for it directly by herself).(She has certificates from Germany authorities about her name, parents, date of birth and place of birth ect.) I did not find Breaza Moldovani but I thins that it is Breaza in zone Suceava , north of Romania .
The major doesn't have e mail but just one phone number that I wrote you and it is fax too .
