Question Hello,
I asked Valorie the same question, but she wasn't able to answer... so I'm hoping you can help me.
I'm looking for a movie about a couple who were not be able to be together or separated for some reason when they were young (maybe married to different partner..), but never forgot about each other and eventually met again and married when they are elder and happy ever after. Is there any movie like this?
I think I saw a late-night movie on TV long time ago something similar, but it was not an English movie... I thought that the movie was Italian or something, but not sure.
If you don't know this movie, something like this will be still ok, because basically I am looking for this type of story. Any recommendations (English or Foreign) will be very much appreciated!!

Answer I do not know the film you are thinking of, sorry. But along those lines you might try "Love Among the Ruins," with Laurence Olivier and Katharine Hepburn, "Persuasion," based on the book by Jane Austen, and "The Family Man" with Nicolas Cage. A new novel called "The Matchmaker of Perigord" has a similar theme. Good luck!
