Question OMG _ I can NOT believe I FINALLY found this site - I truly hope you can help me. I have been searhing for weeks for a movie (I DON'T know the name of) - it was a romance between a guitar player and a girl in a catholic school - she started taking lessons after she met him and the story went on from there - very nice romance I would like my daughter to see - but - can't find it because I have NO IDEA what the name was - the Actor (guitar teacher/player) was a gorgeous "blonde hunk" with long hair and the girl had brown hair - that's all I remember -

I'm pretty sure the movie you are looking for was one of my favorites as a teen. It's called "Sooner or Later" and it starred Rex Smith as the blonde hunk. Here is a synopsis:
"When 13-year-old Jessie (Denise Miller) goes to the Eddie Nova Guitar Institute, she's stunned to discover her teacher is Michael (Rex Smith), a 17-year-old aspiring local musician she'd just seen play with his rock band at the local shopping mall--and with whom she was instantly smitten. Through the grace of makeup, Jessie can pass for 16, and she tells Michael that's her age when he gives her a ride home from class one week. They start to flirt. When Michael invites her to a band rehearsal, they kiss for the first time; when he invites her to a drive-in movie, things start moving just a little too fast, and Jessie has to quickly decide whether or not to confess."
The only thing that's different from your description is that Jessie isn't Catholic, but she pretends to go to Catholic school so Michael won't know she's really in junior high.
I even had Rex Smith's album, which doubled as the film's soundtrack. (I probably still have it in storage, but no cassette player anymore.)
It's available for purchase on the web or for rental from Netflix.
