Question I have a vague memory of an old romantic movie maybe 1940s about a painter who painted the woman he loves even though he hasn't met her. Any ideas?

While the movie sounded some what familiar, I could not think of the name. I tried to look for it. The only movie I could find that was close was Portrait of Jennie.
