Question I read an question asking about ridge vents and turbines. We have ridge vents and my husband is planning on using the turbines a long with fans. Will that help make the hot air go out of the vents?
Nancy
Answer Ideally, you want to bring air in at your home's eaves and then circulate that through the attic, exhausting at or near the ridge.
The problem with turbines is they will pull air from the closest source which will probably be the ridge vent. This provides very poor circulation of air through the attic.
My suggestion would be soffit vents and ridge vent. If that is not moving enough air then replace the ridge vent with turbine vents ... but remove the ridge vent ... this will force air to come in through the soffits.
