Roofing - Dormer valley flashing

Expert: Michael J. Owen - 11/11/2009

Question
QUESTION: Can you please show me how to form the termination of the valley flashing of a dormer with a 600mm wide raking soffit. The fascia of the dormer is a 400mm higher than the main roof's fascia. The roof is corrugated iron.

ANSWER: Hi Karl. I really can't give advice on your question without more information. I need either a detailed drawing or a few photos to work with. What kind of flashing you intend to use etc.
If you want to get back to me, I will do my best to help.

QUESTION: Thanks for your answer.  I have attached a rough drawing for you to see.  If you need more information please let me know.  Otherwise I look forward to hearing from you.
Karl.

Answer
Hi again Karl. I am sorry to say that I really can't figure out how to best approach your situation. Without being able to physically see exactly what we are dealing with, it is impossible to come up with a solution.
May I respectfully suggest you try one of the other experts or have a local, licensed and qualified contractor look at it and give you their opinion.
Once again, sorry I can't help.
