Roofing/metal roof on doublewide

Question
Hi Todd,

I'm an expert here too. I do cats. :)
I have a question that i can't seem to get an answer for. I live upstate NY. We get a lot of snow and ice. I have a double wide trailer that has a pitch suitable for warmer climes. I want to tin the roof. What I would also like to do is put roof deicing cables under the new roof. Is this advisable to do? Because of the pitch I think the deicing cables would help the tin roof clear the snow and ice. What do you think? Thanks a lot.

Ciao, Karen

Answer
I would not suggest doing this with systems that are not tested and approved by their manufacturers for that type of application.

The only system I know of that is designed for this purpose is manufactured by this company:

I hope this helps.
