Roofing - Shingle Roof Replacement

Expert: Michael J. Owen - 6/28/2009

Question
Hi Mike, I have a Hail damaged roof and need full replacement. A my Insurance Co. has already given me the check. I would like to give the job to the company who examined the roof.  Is this wise without knowing anything about the company? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Robert. You could try your local BBB or ask the company for references and do a thorough check on them. Sorry to say that many roofing companies have a history of being "cowboy outfits".
Also, I would get another two or three estimates if you have the time.
Hope this helps you make an educated decision and good luck.
