Roofing/Sealing new OC architectural shingles

had a hailstorm and insurance paid for a new roof.  Color was selected by wife, and while exactly what she selected off the sample board, the entire roof looks like a much brighter orange.  Again SHE selected terra cotta and not the burnt sienna that was darker so now, entire roof now looks orange.  My question is, is there any agent, stain or sealant that I can spray onto this brand new roof (just being finished)that would darken it somewhat?  I can test spray on a number of spare shingles to get the right color, but is there a commercial product to do this?  I almost feel like a very light spray of tar or oil or something would break up the orangeness, but i don't want to degrade the shingle.  any help is greatly welcome (and can you imagine how large this problem would have been if I'D selected the color!!)

Sorry....but the easy and correct answer is a NO...not just a no..a Hell not do it!!!!

and you have a LIFETIME roof too

the OC shingles are that good....

What I would suggest find ways to darken the roof with esthetics.

Change flower pots, house numbers, shutters, gutters, etc to help take away from the color you are unhappy with.

Also, keep in mind that teh color will change grsdually over time!

ANYTHING you do to those shingle will invalidate the warranty! Think long and hard before you attempt it!

Good Luck!
