Roofing/GUTTER PROBLEM WITH METAL ROOFING

Question
I JUST HAD A METAL ROOF INSTALLED ON MY HOUSE. I LOVE THE ROOF HOWEVER I HAVE NOTICED IN A HEAVY RAIN THAT THE WATER OVERSHOOTS MY GUTTERS. THE INSTALLERS GAVE THE METAL A 1 1/2" OVERHANG.

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO DIVERT THIS WATER DOWN INTO MY GUTTERS.

Answer
I always suggest mounting gutters as high as possible and using 6" gutters instead of 5" with metal roofs. If you wish, diverters can be mounted on the outside edge of the gutters to help catch water. They would need to be specially made from painted .032" thick aluminum.

I hope this helps.
