Hi, i am considering getting a rottweiler and wanted to know how good they are with children. Also i wanted to know how much they shed and if they drool or slobber.

Answer
Ok there is alot that you should know about rotts before you get one.
1st of all rotts are very protective and territorial of the home and everything that is in that home including children.

R they could with children overall yes, but it all depends on how you train them.

2nd they do shed alot and I do mean alot.  Sweeping every other day.

I they are the worst when it comes to drinking water.  I have year old male rott and he will get a drink of water and before he is done drinking he will raise his head leaving all the water dripping from his mouth onto the floor.

For the drolling or slobbering yes to some extinct if you temp them with food then the will droll a lot.

Hope this helps

Felicia
