Expert: Felicia Coyer Date: 9/8/2006 Subject: sick dog
Question my rott is 16 mos. old and vomitted overnight once and did not eat or drink since last night. i took her to the vet. 2 days before i gave her a large turkey bone (she has had one before and was fine). there was also a plastic swimming pool outback with stagnated water(green and brown colored) which she had drank out of. i have a beagle mix here with the same symptoms.i know this is a medical question but i can't find a site to get an answer.do you think that she got sick from the bone or stagnated water. i know that the water is full of parasites, germs,algae,etc.what do you think?.....thank you!
Answer To be honest I really do not know because turkey bones are not good for dogs. Ecspecially the water the dog drank could also be the cause of that. The only thing that I can recommend is that you take he/she to the vet.
