Expert: Becky - 9/17/2009
QuestionHi Becky, we have made a reservation for cabin 8514 for 2 adults and 2 children. Its an outside cabin in the front of the ship. is this ok you think? What do I wear my children on the formal night and does my husband have to wear a tie? Do you also know which soda s are included in the soda package. I know about the coke fanta and sprite, but is there also a non fizzy drink included and can I buy these packages also only for the kids?
Looking forward to your answers
AnswerHi Petra,
You don't mention which Royal Caribbean ship you're on but I'd think your cabin would be nice.
You will see people wearing so many different things on formal night. Some people will be very dressed up and in tuxes, and some people don't feel like getting very dressed up at all. My husband used to take a suit years ago, but now he never does. Lately he just takes a dress shirt and a tie. If your husband doesn't feel like taking a tie, I'm sure you will see other men without ties on also. Same with your kids. If you have girls they could wear dresses and your boys shirts and ties, or just dress pants and a shirt. As long as they look nice, I think you'd be fine. Again, you will see people dressed all sorts of ways. We never get the soda package. I do not believe there is a non fizzy drink included in this, only because I don't drink carbonated drinks and I don't think they have anything like that that's non carbonated that they sell other than juice, and that is not included in the soda package. Iced tea is free on the ship, and lemonade is also available in the Windjammer. Yes, you can buy the soda packages just for the kids. I'll give you some links below in case you want or need to do some more research before your cruise. :-) Have a wonderful cruise! :-) Becky
