Question
QUESTION: My family and I are taking the RCC Navigator cruise from Ft.Lauderdale to Cozumel and Belize on Jan 14-19. Wondering how the weather will be that time of year.

ANSWER: You should find temps in the 80's and fair weather, it might rain a little but the rain storms don't last long.If your looking for things to do in these ports let me know.

QUESTION: Hi John, We are a group of 10.  Ages range from 2,19,30's,40's & 50's. Not sure what to do when we get off the ship. Family vacation.

Thanks Again....Diane

Answer
Diane,I see you only have two ports so you will have to cram a lot of stuff into a few day's. My idea's:
Cozumel Get off ship and take a taxi to Chankanoob Park it's a short ride and the park is on the gulf with everything you might want to do including a botanical garden, snorkeling, suning, swimming, restaurant and bar service on the beach and I think they have a Dolphin show.It will cost to get in the park plus the cab ride but it's nice. I would spend the afternoon in town I'm sure you will have some shoppers in your group, also there are some  famous watering holes along the main street Carlos and Charley's, Senor Frogs and others. The only bargains I have found is jewelry made with turquoise and pewter at decent prices.
Belize used to call British Honduras, you will be tendered in so get on an early shuttle boat so you can get the most time in the port. This is kind of a new port for cruisers so I've only been there once the nicest place I saw was a place called Cucumber beach,I will be honest with you there is a lot of poverty in Belize, If you like you can hired a van that will take your group for a tour on the dock when you arrive. When you hit the dock area you will be able to take many excursions. I'm sure there are other things to do, you might check with the shore excursion desk on the ship but booking through the ship will cost more, but if this your first cruise I would think you might want to let the ship book anything that is special. I'm sure you will have a great cruise, let me know if I can be of any further help.
