Question
I am trying to figure out how the RWC has coincided with rugby season in each of the countries that have hosted it, but have been a little bit confused about when rugby season starts and ends in different places.  Could you help me out out all? I'm not sure if these are right..

New Zealand ??
Australia Feb-May
England Sept-May
Ireland Sept-May
Scotland
Wales
France Sept-May
South Africa June-Nov?

Answer
Hi, sorry about delay been ill,

Rugby season for clubs starts in autumn and ends in summer.

If you play international it starts in winter and ends in late spring- early summer

South Africa and the season starts in February and ends Early in December, usually with the Year end tour to the British Isles and Europe.

In New Zealand rugby goes all year round

In England the first League games are mid September, with the knock out game first round at the beginning of September. There are some games in August but they are more for the senior clubs.

So for a non professional team the season will start approx 1 or 8 September

thanks that's all i can find.

Thanks
