About Dan Lamb
Expertise
I have a general knowledge of the band Rush, but I would say my expertise would be in their drummer Neil Peart such as setups over the years equipment etc...

Rush - Neil drum heads in MP

Expert: Dan Lamb - 6/4/2004

Question
Hi. What kind of drum heads did Neil use in Moving pictures? (all drums)

Answer
Hello Rod
I don't konw if you got my last email explaing exactly about the drumheads, I was thinking my email didn't go through so I'll try just to confirm.

So, for Moving Pictures Neil used Remo Weatherking CS Black Dots on the concert toms.  Clear Remo AMbassadors on the timbales.  And Evans Hydraulic tom bottoms.

Now as for the regular tom toms, he keeps referring back to "the previous album"  and the album he goes all the way back to is Farewell to Kings.  In that he still uses the Black Dot but he also says that he plays the Evans Rock Heavy Duty Looking Glass (mirror).  And Evans Hydraulic Blue-X (2ply) on bottoms.

So I hope that helps and sorry again for the delay and confussion.  If you have anything else, don't hesitate!

-Dan Lamb
