Russia - Possibly traveling to Belarus alone...

Question
I am in a perdicament, and thought maybe you could help me.  I am in the US and involved with someone from Belarus.  He wants to come and visit me here, but it can sometimes be hard for people in Belarus to obtain a visitor visa to come to the US.  My only option is to go to Belarus - and I have never left the US before, so I'm really scared to go there by myself.  I don't know how safe it is for a single, attractive young woman, and I know there are political issues between the US and Belarus.  So I am asking mainly, do you think it would be safe for a young female to travel to Belarus by herself?  Thank you so much for your help...

Answer
Dear Christina,

To tell the truth i've never been to Belorus, but the friends who are from there and my colleagues who have been for a business trip there say it's really a safe place. Due to the regime they have the crime statistics are very low. People are kind and very hospitable. So i guess you shouldn't have any worries about going there. Moreover Belorus is a small country, so it's definitely more safe then USA or Russia.
