Russia/Russian Visa requirements
Expert: Maria Panteleeva - 12/8/2006
QuestionHi Maria,
I am presently planning a trip to Russia to visit a friend in 2007. My friend will be supplying my invitation, but I was wondering if you could tell me the proper protocol for an American visiting Russia. It will probably be a homestay visit, which I understand can be as long as 3 months. I also know that I need my US passport, and at least one empty page for stamps. Basically, what I would like to know, is the procedure for receiving my Russian Visa when my friend will be supplying my invitation, and what other paperwork is required. Also, what immunizations are necessary before entering Russia?
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Warm regards,
Aimee
AnswerHello Aimee,
No immunization is needed, concerning the rest you have to check directly with the Consulate, we make only business and tourist visa invitations. Normally you need the original invitation, passport, 2 pictures, consular fee, questionnaire.
Best regards,
Maria.
