Russia/Viking River Cruises

Question
We are interested in seeing some of Russia. Has anyone taken a Viking River Cruise? I know there was an article regarding them in ITN last year, but I am looking for other's experiences. Were the 90 sq. ft. cabins cramped? How was the food? Were you on the boat too long? How were the shore excursions? Was it a good way to get a feel for Russia? Would you do it again knowing what you know now? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Answer
Sorry, don't know much of this. All I heard that it's well developed part of industry, good ships, expensive, most of people are from aboard if the cruise in for foreign travelers.  Personally, I was on 2 cruises Moscow -Rostov-on-Don - Moscow and St.Pete – Kishi – Valaam – St.Pete. Truly this is great way to feel the country.

I?m originally from St.Pete, but live now in Moscow. Mostly I could advice you about those two cities, but some tips about Caucasus, Russian North and Golden Ring you may find useful too, cause I have travel there a lot in last few years. Also feel free to ask me ?technical? Q?s about visa and registration and so on?
