Answer
My apologies for being late in answering your message.  I was actually traveling in Russia.  First of all the weather in Kamchatka is like in Alaska, it changes often even within a day.  Normally it would be about 70 degrees, All helicopter excursions are dependent upon the weather so there might be delays if the weather does not cooperate.  I do hope that you have made your arrangements through a reliable tour company as traveling in Kamchatka to the places you are going requires special permission.
Also it would be wise if you have alternatives in mind, for example, if you cannot get to Kurilskoe Lake, you might wish to go to the north and visit the Uzon Caldera.
There is an excellent restaurant in the Hotel Petropavlovsk in the basement.  The cafe on the 1st floor also serves an excellent breakfast.  Perhaps if you have further questions, you might wiah to contact Martha Madsen at explorekam@gmail.com.  I would suggest that if you are not working with a tour operator that you do so as soon as possible.
