hi Olga Iam  18 years old and i wanted to ask about safety in russia for a foreign univercity student and behaviour of russian peaple whit foreign students and some important and nessesery things that i must to know before coming to russia.thanks alot and good luck Olga .

Answer
Dear Katy,
Moscow is a big city, here there are more then 15 mio people, so of course it's like all the megapolises can't be as safety as a village somewhere in Baden Wuenterberg in lovely Germany. But still i'm 25 i have lots of foreign friends who are living here and working here. If you can take care of yourself don't worry none will hurt you.
Advice i could give you are the simple advice which can be given not for Moscow but for all the places:
don't get into a trouble . I traveled a lot by myself and even to the places where people would not go alone. Everything depends on you how you behave.
Practical advice are:
1) Don't forget it's Russia, so in winter it can be cold =)
Last winter was ok but still was a week with -18-20 =)
Bring warm things with you and if you skiing or snowboarding don't forget to take  your staff with.
2) Keep in mind Moscow is an expensive city.
3) Moscow is reach with night life choose the right place to go.
It's better if you specify your questions i can speak endless about Moscow =)
Which university you are going to?
if you need any help you can contact me by mail : schlange.dragunova@gmail.com
i will be glad to help you and answer all your questions.

regards,

Russia
