Russian Language - proverb english to russian

Expert: Anatoli - 10/16/2009

Question
Hello!

What is the Russian equivalent of the English proverb "what comes around goes around"

Many thanks
Margret

Answer
Hi Margret,

There are 2 equivalents:

1. Как аукнется, так и откликнется (kak aUknetsa, tak i otklIknetsa) - what one shouts (as in echo), you'll hear
2. Что посеешь, то и пожнёшь (shto posEyesh, to i pozhnyOsh) - what you seed, you'll reap.

The stressed syllables are in capitals.
Hope it helps.

Regards,
Anatoli
