Saab Repair - ABS and Brake Light

Expert: Jim Geyer - 9/25/2009

Question
I just bought a 2002 Saab 93 from a dealer and this morning the brake and ABS light went on for a few seconds at least three times.  My brakes feel great and they are not making noise.  Should I be concerned and what could this be?  Please help.  I drive a very long way to work every day and am really nervous about this.  Thanks.

Answer
Possible problem with the abs control unit losing communication with the rest of the car. You need to get the codes read when the light is on. If you can't pull codes when the light is on then the control unit is bad. If you can get codes then address whatever code you get.
