Saab Repair - Convertible Top - Manual Close on '95 900SE

Expert: Jim Geyer - 9/11/2009

Question
The convertible motor went out and I was able to manually close the top, however the top won't "click-in" to the tonneau cover, which leaves a gap between the two. How do I get the convertible to lock into place if the motor is not working? Rain is expected on Monday! yikes.

Thank you in advance!

Answer
When you pull the red lever behind the seat it pops out the rear tonneau motor, this allows you to move the top manually. In order to close it you need to put the red lever back in it's starting position, push the motor back into it's original place and then hopefully the top will close by using the switch as usual.
