Question
I need to replace the starter on my '82 900 turbo. My buddy and I couldn't even locate it when we opened the engine compartment. Are you familiar with this model and procedure?

Answer
Starter is under the engine, you can probably see it from underneath. Access may a problematic, but I have never worked on a 900, so I don't know. Here are some weblinks for you:
