Experience I have sailed catammarans in fresh and salt water for over 16 years.
I currently own and sail a 30 ft monohull out of Kemah on Galveston Bay, on which I carried out a complete refit.

Question
Hello Keith,
I am from Japan.
I am ready to sailing Caribbean by catamaran. I will depart from Jacksonville.
Could you tell me some suggestion and recommendation?
This is my first time to travel by catamaran. =)
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Answer Carrie:
Welcome to the U.S. I lived on Okinawa for 3 years when I was younger. The catamaran you will be sailing was different than the ones I sailed. It will be a large stable vessel. Mine was small with closed hulls and no accomodations.
The catamaran you will be in will be comfortable with a large central cabin and a forward trampoline area that you can lie on to sun bath.
The cockpit will be covered with a bimini cover to keep you out of the sun.
Cabins will be large and spacious and the galley will be large and well served too.
By your message I am not sure if you have already booked a cruise or if you are wanting a recommendation for one. I don't know if you can actually sail the Carribean from Jacksonville, you might want to go the the US Virgin Islands. At best you could probably sail the Florida Keys.
