I speak some Japanese and am currently in the process of translating/watching the musicals too. I have some knowledge on the seiyuu of the Sailor Moon series, as well as the music/associated j-pop.
I have some experience as a cosplayer and can answer any questions you may have relating to cosplay in general and outfit designs used in Sailor Moon.
Experience I have been watching sailor moon for at least 10 years now, over and over again! I have seen every episode, film and special loads of times. I am very interested in seiyuu and j-pop and also have some good knowledge of voice actresses and their roles through the duration of the Sailor Moon series. I have been involved in some Sailor Moon cosplay projects. I am the most knowedgeable person on the subject of Sailor Moon in the Leeds Anime Society. I run a small cosplay business on eBay and have a particular interest in the costumes of Sailor Moon and their replication. I have not yet seen much of the Live Action Series, but after watching the first few episodes I have no interest in it.

Answer Series 2 of Sailor Moon is called Sailor Moon R....the R stans for romance because of all the romantic entanglements involved;
At the end of series one of the anime all the Senshi (or Scounts), Usagi (Serena) and Mamoru (Darien) lose all their memories. It becomes apparent at the beginning of series 2 that Luna and Artemis have decided this is for the best, so Usagi and everyone don't have to fight and can live as normal teenagers.
New enemies appear and Luna restores the memories of Usagi and then the other Senshi, but she is unable to do the same for Mamoru.
For the first arc of series two (the doom tree episodes) Usagi perseveres in trying to restore Mamoru's memories to no avail. Instead she spends this section of the anime generally trying to get to know him, with some sweet and romantic bits. They become friends.
In the last episode of this arc (the arc, not the series!!) Usagi and Mamoru are in imminent danger. At one point Mamoru reaches for Usagi's hand, then later he protects her from a very severe attack...realizing he is in love with her, and has fallen in love with her because she is who she is, not because of their past lives. Only after he has realized he is in love with her does he regain his memories of his past life.
In the second part of series 2 Mamoru sees visions of the world falling into chaos and Usagi beign placed in grave danger. The visions and dreams tell him that this will happen if he stays with her, so he dumps her for her own good. He claims this is because he doesn;t love her and that the only reason he started going out with her again was because of their past lives.
The next few episodes he tries to avoid her, he still loves her, she feels sad and overeats (more than usual). They bump into each other all the time, and Tuxedo Kamen still comes to the rescue all the time etc etc...
One night Usagi has the same dream as Mamoru, and they make up because Usagi says she doesn't care if terrible things happen to her as long as Mamoru is by her side.
