Question Moose is a fantastic dog. Very well behaved; is sitting, shaking, laying and coming up from laying to a sit. Comes and stays and walks beautifully on a leash despite the fact that we were only recently able to take him on walks due to a hip injury sustained during a ball game with a 3 yr. old Saint mix. He was run over by the older dog when he went to retrieve the ball. I to am experiencing very early morning awakenings, anywhere from 2:30 to 5:30. It has been suggested by the local pet store employees to give him some k-9 aspirin because his joints might be aching due to rapid growth. I am very hesitant to due this. I have, however, tried the Puppy Calm which didn't really help. I feel as if I keep him relatively active during the day, but sometimes he just doesn't want to move. Any suggestions for the sleeping issue? We go to bed at about 10 or 11 and Moose sleeps on the bathroom tile floor in our master bath, so I hear every flipping and flopping. Help me help my big little boy.
Answer Hello and thanks for your question. My only suggestiong to you is make sure he has something comfortable to lay on at all times. If he is on a hard floor all the time it might make him stiff when he goes to get up. Get him a GIANT fluffy bed and make sure that when he takes long naps or at night time that he is on something comfy. After an accident like the one he had he is going to be sore and stiff regardless. Have u taken him to the vet? Is anyting fractured or out of place? Please email me back and let me know. I hope this helps and the k9 asprin is no different then the human asprin and it does work. Hope this helps please let me know
