Question Hi Leo. I need a sales management program to automate and manage my efforts marketing and selling my thousands of domain names. I'm looking for at least the following features:
I need much more than a contact or customer management program, yet it can still be simple. I need something that helps me keep track of and follow up on contacts and prospects who have sent inquiries and/or offers for specific domain names, types of domain names, etc.
I also want to be able to do email prospecting to individuals who have businesses or domain names that are closely related to specific domain names, who might likely be interested in also making an offer for a specific domain name.
I need to be able to track and manage:
1 - Specific domain names.
2 - Specific prospects.
3 - Repeat customers who are interested in types of domain names.
4 - Prospects who have asked to be on my mailing list to receive a newsletter and/or alerts/bulletins, etc. about newly available domain names, sales, reverse auctions, etc.
5 - The sales process of offer, counter offer, acceptance, payment, then transfer of the domain name to the buyer.
6 - After sales follow-up.
7 - Opt in mailing list for a newsletter, bulletins, alerts, etc.
I read your response to "Tracking Sale Leads" from 10/10/06" and looked at your suggestions, but none are right for my needs.
My needs are very similar to selling real estate, where specific properties need to be marketed to and negotiated with potential buyers and prospects.
I use the Firefox browser and Thunderbird email client. I don't use or want to use Outlook or Outlook Express.
Thanks,
Steve
