QUESTION: hi again my aquarium is coming on nice now the trouble is now my supplier is telling me the fish i want are better off in pairs the fish in question are anthias (indo) and bi colour damsals after taken is advice i pushiest two bi coloured damsals of which i ad to get rid of one due to aggression towards the other damsal and the anthias which iav only just added now the slightly larger anthias is now showing aggression towards the other anthias nipping its Finns all the time. i was hoping to get 2 false percula clowns on my next purchase in 4 weeks time are these going to be ok as iam paying the price of 2 fish and ending up with 1, i live in York and the nearest place to me who stock marine is this store in Beverley. i am now thinking of getting the other things i want by Internet is this a safe option thanx steve
Answer hi, sorry its taken so long to reply, been on night shift!
the problem your having with the anthias is they are a shoal fish and are usually kept in 5 or more, odd numbers work best for some reason. any damsel is aggressive it just varies in intensity.
its always a risk buying from the internet, most fish are not handled with care by curriers. if your fish shop is a good one they will be able to get you most fish you wan't, i know mine certainly does
