Question Hi. I am a diehard 49ers fan. My friend is a diehard Steelers fan. I hate the Steelers. We go back & forth all the time about who is the better team now, & of all time. Of course as you & I know its the 49ers. Of course the 49ers are 5-0 & the the Steelers 4-1 in Super Bowls & the 49ers hold a 9-8 edge in head to head meetings with the Steelers. But my friend insists that the Steelers are better. The reason I am wrinting you is in the hopes that you can tell me what the 49ers overall win loss record was for the 1980s & 1990s or atleast direct me to a site where I can get the info myself. Also if you know where I can get the same info for the Steelers that would be great. I already know the 49ers have the better record by far but I need to show it to my Steeler fan buddy so I can rub it in his face. Thanx for your time & GO 49ers!!!!!!!!

Thanks for asking my your 49ers question. I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you, but my motherboard on my computer was fried, and it I have only now just replaced it.
In answer to your 49ers question:
The 49ers have a record of 113-47 the best record in the 90's.
During this period the Steelers have a record of 92-68
(Both not including playoffs).
During the 80s, the 49ers were 104-47-1 where as the Steelers were 77-75.
Clearly the 49ers record is way better.
