Subject: Are you familiar with the seats in section 141?

Question
Hi Edith
We have a chance to buy seats in section 141 for the game next Sunday and are these Bleacher seats without backs? Or are they regular seats just in a section called the bleachers?  We haven`t been to the park yet and since I`m taking our teenagers with us--I don`t want to disappoint them by getting the "other" seats.  Also if we pick a night game--how cold does it get?  Like Candlestick? or much warmer?

Thanks a million
franci

Answer
The bleacher seats in section 141 are actual bleachers, metal benches with no backs, I don't think (though there may be backs on them, I haven't actually been in that area since the benches were installed).  Section 141 is behind left-center field, on the left-field side of the score board.  You will not be able to seethe big screen from there, but you'll have a great view of the rest of the ballpark and chances at any homeruns that go into those stands. If you do take the tickets I would strongly suggest getting there when the gates open two hours before gametime if you can and take advantage of all the attractions, like the Fan Lot, which is right behind the seats you are considering.  (There are slides and speed pitches and a wiffle ball field for very small kids)As for the weather....I'm not sure.  As I said, I haven't been in the bleachers for a game, but it's an exposed area, so if there is any wind you'll probably feel it.  It does not get cold to the degree that the Stick did, but I would dress in layers and bring coats/blankets just in case ... you know, summer in San Francisco is unpredictable.Hope you have fun!
