Subject: hooking up a cband 8ft satellite dish

Question
hey I have a question about how to hook up this huge 8ft satellite I have in my backyard to a sonicview receiver...

Answer
Hi,
well i am not familiar with the brand, but in essence you need to:

1. make sure you have identified a proper satellite carrying the TV channels you want to see, and that those channels are not encrypted
2. find a proper LNB for the freqwuency band you want to receive
3. install a prper cable from the lnb to the place where the receiver would be. make sure connectors are properly placed and insulated.
4. after assembling, point the antenna. i suggest you get a satfinder device or something similar to aid you in the pointing.
5. after that you should be able to fine point using the sat receiver
6. that should be it really.

i hope this helps

regards

luis
