Satellite Communications/Polarization

Question
in Satellite Technology , as example Why we send frequency with Horizontal polarization , and we receive it with Vertical polarization, and vice verse ?

Answer
Hi Mr Ammar, there is no specific reason for the polarisation to be implemented in the way you mentioned. However the current technology provides for multi polarised satellites in operation. This enabled the increased bandwidth utilisation and spot beam access for Higher Frequency Bands of operations. May be the conventional older texts specify as you said, but modern Satellite Technology does not have this spec. Cheers/GTRao
